RYAS North Squad - Winter Race Coaching
Junior/ Youth Race Training Opportunities in the Highlands
RYA Scotland (RYAS) organises a series of National Junior and Youth Race Training Squads. But you may not know that RYAS also organises a group of Area Squads, with a training level lower than the National squads. These Area squads are designed to offer an opportunity for progression to young sailors who aspire to improve their sailing and racing skills either for club racing or national squad.
We currently have RYAS approved Area squads in the West and East of Scotland, but of more interest to clubs in the north of Scotland, there is also a North Squad.
There will be 5 coaching events over the winter, 3 in the autumn and 2 in the spring mainly hosted by Chanonry Sailing Club. The preferred boat classes are: Optimist, Topper and RS Feva.
