Advance notice for the PFYC Regatta on 23/24 June.
An excellent day's racing despite the rain while we packed up! Thanks to everyone at L Morlich SC for organising and delivering a very good event and not forgetting the catering team. That soup was wonderful.

And calling all cruiser sailors:
Hi to All Skippers,
Hopefully some of you are aware Findhorn Marina is planning a Rya informal trining event for keel boats and cruisers on the 1st/2ndOctober.
I am still at the planning stage, but the idea is for Skippers to volunteer to encourage new crews to develop skills on the passage to Findhorn from your home port, a race round the cans before entering the bay and relaxing. In the evening have a meal at the marina and some form of talk/entertainment (the marina is licensed). Then on the following day, a passage race home.
As I said I am at the planning stage so if you have better idea let me know.
The Questions I would like to ask are

Here is an advance notice and small poster about the Gunn Trophy >
All Highland and Moray Sailing Clubs are invited to send one or more teams to take part in this Junior Team Racing Event which will be held at Lochcarron Sailing Club on Saturday 10th September.
The Gunn Trophy is aimed at Topper Sailors competing in teams of three. The best overall team score over a series of four or more short races will win the prize. There is no entry fee but there may be a small charge for the barbeque at the end of the afternoon. The emphasis will be on friendly competition and team playing. Adults from visiting Clubs will be invited onto rescue boats to help identify sailors and to ensure fair play!
All participants must still be attending School. Scoring will be on a low point system with the aggregated overall score of each team counting towards the final result. There will be no discards. It is intended that competing teams will be sailing Toppers..
This will be Lochcarron Sailing Club's "Sail for Gold Event" in 2011. All competitors will receive Sail for Gold momentos for participating.
The trophy is a scale replica of a British Navy cannon. (It is named after the late Douglas Gunn who was commodore of Lochcarron Sailing Club in the 1990s.) The winning Team will have the option to host the Gunn Trophy Event at their Club in 2012 if they wish.
Briefing will be at 1.00pm. (Probably 2 or 3 races followed by a short shore break and then 2 or 3 more.) Barbeque and Award Ceremony at 5.00pm.
Please Contact Dave Murray on email@example.com with any queries and to notify us of your intention to attend. It would be very helpful if clubs will let us know in advance if they intend to participate.
(Lochcarron Sailing Club has facilities for changing and one shower in the male and the female changing rooms.)
The 2011 Youth Regatta will be held on Saturday 30th July 2011. As well as our own youth members, invitations are being been sent to the Peterhead and Bridge of Don Sea Cadets, Aberdeen and Stonehaven Yacht Club as well extending the invite to other sailing clubs in the North and East of Scotland. If you are under 18 and want a really fun day with a little competition why not come along and show off your sailing skills. The entry fee is £8 per single handed boat and £14 per double handed boat, a barbeque lunch is included in the price for all competitors.
A limited number of club boats are available for hire so if you require one of the club’s dinghies you will need to book one in advance, this can be done by contacting Angie by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or phoning 07812380834. This will ensure there is a dinghy available for you on the day.
